My association dues are quarterly, not monthly. How do I set up automatic quarterly payments, vs. monthly?

The simplest way to pay your quarterly dues automatically (on the 1st day of each quarter) is to set up your automatic e-check to pay the full balance on the first of every month. On months you have no quarterly charges, there will be no automatic payment since you have no balance to pay.

I’m a new user. How do I get instant access?

If your association provided us your email, name, and phone, you should be pre-setup to receive an automated instant access email invitation, simply by completing this quick access request form. (Please note: it will only work if the information you provide matches exactly with the email, phone, and spelling of your name that we have in the system; otherwise see the next question.)

I’m a new user and that didn’t work. What now?

If your email has changed, or if for some reason the request form for instant activation does not work for you (likely the pre-setup email, phone, or name we entered has an error or is incorrect)—we will need to personally help you. The best/fastest solution is to submit our request for manual assistance here on our contact page, and we’ll get right back with you (usually very quite quickly).

I lost my password. How do I recover it?

That’s easy. If you’re a visual person, click here for visual instructions. Otherwise, the quick answer is just click here to the returning user login window, then click on “Forgot Your Password”. You’ll be asked to enter your email for verification, and a new password will be sent to that email address.

Is there a fee for making one-time or recurring payments through your online owner portal (called Appfolio), or through the Appfolio app?

There is a $2.49 fee for E-Check payments that are linked to your bank account. The fees when credit card processors get involved: a fee of 3.49% for credit card transactions (with a minimum fee of $3.50), and $9.99 for debit card transactions).

Your AppFolio system emails are hitting my spam filter, what can I do?

Email “whitelisting” tells your email provider to allow emails sent from AppFolio to stop being filtered as spam. We recommend everyone allow emails from two senders (with nothing before the @):
1.   @appfolio.com
2.  @parkviewhills.mailer.appfolio.us
This adds the domain appfolio.com to the safe sender list rather than just an individual email address—because our maintenance and other communications come from an email address that varies based on the task; but they always end in one of these domains.

When I click the login, I get sent to an old .pdf document I was viewing before. How do I get back to my portal?

This is a known bug in Appfolio with Google Chrome, which occurs when viewing shared documents through your portal—and when you close the portal tab before closing the .pdf. To workaround and resolve the problem in Chrome, just clear your cache. (Chrome settings>more tools>clear browsing data>. Then clearing everything except history (cookies/cached files)).

Best practice is to close your document tab, then exit the portal last.)
